It seems that I have recently become someone that follows various family members around marathons to take pictures. This last weekend, I was in Eugene, OR chasing my mom, sister, and cousin around Eugene for the marathon and half marathon.

My cousin, Anne, decided she was going to run the half marathon and invited my sister to join her, so she did. Then my mom got wind of the entire thing and decided she was going to train for the full marathon! She did and did an amazing job. This was her first marathon, at age 60, and she finished in 4 hours and 35 minutes-WAY TO GO, MOM!

Here are some pictures from the day . . . we were able to see my mom at miles 7, 21, and the finish. We saw my cousin and sister at mile 7 and the finish.

Here is a picture of my sister at mile 7 ish
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 214px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgn4YJs-icFNQYHyo1umDo-JnYk-d-jBjc9WrHWd31hgw815j9Mt3b6Ih43l04tT2MPnTR6wpIJiotmkLYj4ZShMfPKOnVbu2fP34QKGflSMhLuGHRSXFzyfNUih-JTpoM0wlI1KHtm8wo/s320/_DSC0092.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5467611446510761474" />

This is my cousin, Anne finishing the race
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 214px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgK2lXb5eZXBGJb04R9ZgEvX9cg2A2dooiIRTYQFh4ZFV3i-o9wpgDAwP7yu808TT0zkMkKN_yaItjmz1Ldep3TaenyDXsGQYctWj07i9e-RkL5PUObuKGZmVuuQ0it3XCskk4MXuFrE0M/s320/_DSC0152.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5467611259209446354" />

Here is my mom at mile 21; my sister ran the last 5 miles with her!
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 214px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiRLPOpGjYEyytftAPHR8i_bTryYZzQm_tWfXjSaH1w72o5RRSImP_Fjpepnu1AfPm51ns1ZT4I4dsWSRi_X6Bkh38jvPOi7IC_q3UYvR2_Nf3ZdFeLFrNII5PJaLmW6rj3goSIMKtFxeo/s320/_DSC0201.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5467611109242633570" />

Here is my mom finishing the race!
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 214px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgY2Ypg_hXBtLwm9tjiI18uqXcFoYc1rfblMHjKeZde3Yw0rr6hEwyfiw81t5RaQD7_APbEexne50kAiowc2BiCn5b3dG5zqM-6jHReK47cvciZOhx6MQ3pf15NOkt09e7cCs01kyfL_o4/s320/_DSC0307_2.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5467610891607650786" />

This is the three of them after the race-awesome job ladies!
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 214px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEji77q83gk0Gve36khLgbB0q5MszKQ0MRalli-oHZzX0ZGPd_HjRLNaJaL7TPweBn8ROAx6RfRtWK4_kUhl1QD2v67TfVAfk8puemL-4wYgEQQVBJik7l762m933xnBZDLYjk5oII6UjJM/s320/_DSC0333.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5467610807212238882" />

Have a great one, JodiJodihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13883207443541098787noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8827578505500110217.post-48720466414562002052010-05-04T05:50:00.000-07:002010-05-04T05:55:14.856-07:00Photography ClassI signed up to take Maggie Holmes' Photography Class and it was a blast. One week, I took my sister, Amy, out to do a photo shoot. We were joking that is was similar to taking senior portraits at age 28! Below are a few of the shots I took. It was a great class and I learned a lot. If you would like to leave feedback about my photography ability, please do so-I am still learning and love the help! I have been making so many birthday cards. I love the new PTI Year of Flowers stamps sets, and this is February's Violet. It was an easy card to make, I just wish they had the dies that would cut out the violets-it would sure make life a lot easier. The word I have choosen is intention. After the year I had last year, I want to do everything with intention. When thinking of a word, I wanted to find one that I would help me to become the person I want to be but also help me with the areas in my life that are going well. I plan to work toward doing all things in my life with intention. Will this be easy? No. There will be challenges along the way and I am sure I will not achieve all things being done with intention but I will try to begin to see things with that in mind.

I looked up the word intention and the following is a list of words that are synonyms for it. I also looked up intentional, so that I would have words that are describing too. This could be a good thing but then again when we get to June and I want to be out of school I will be unhappy that we are still going to school because of the snow. this is the fourth day that we now have to make up and it looks as though we might not have school tomorrow either.

So what is the thing to do on a snow day? If you are a kid-play, run, throw snowballs, make snowmen and snow angels-but as an adult-nothing fun. Last night my dad and I went on a walk while it was snowing. It was great. I wish it would snow regularly so that I can go on walks, it is so peaceful, everything white and bright. There were a few kids playing the neighborhood but for the most part it was very peaceful. I do love walking in the snow especially at night.

But today Amy, the truly wonderful sisiter, and I have been sitting at home doing nothing. We made yummy french toast this morning, french toatst-my favorite thing! Then we have been watching TV, now Phil is on, it's a sad one. Amy has been sick with the sniffles so I am trying to keep my distance-but you know how sisters are . . . now she wants to watch old family videos. sounds like fun but we don't have a VCR. guess I will go now so that we can figure out what to do.
Jodihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13883207443541098787noreply@blogger.com0
