Thank You Nichole!

Those who know my stamping habits, know that I love PaperTrey Ink! Nichole is one of the owners and the person whose creativity I am most amazed with. Every month, her projects and stamp sets are more impressive than the last-she keeps us coming back for more. Race Chaser

Hi
I have a new title for myself-Race Chaser. It seems that I have recently become someone that follows various family members around marathons to take pictures. This last weekend, I was in Eugene, OR chasing my mom, sister, and cousin around Eugene for the marathon and half marathon.

My cousin, Anne, decided she was going to run the half marathon and invited my sister to join her, so she did. Then my mom got wind of the entire thing and decided she was going to train for the full marathon! She did and did an amazing job. This was her first marathon, at age 60, and she finished in 4 hours and 35 minutes-WAY TO GO, MOM!

Here are some pictures from the day . . . we were able to see my mom at miles 7, 21, and the finish. We saw my cousin and sister at mile 7 and the finish.

Photography Class

I signed up to take Maggie Holmes' Photography Class and it was a blast. One week, I took my sister, Amy, out to do a photo shoot. We were joking that is was similar to taking senior portraits at age 28! Below are a few of the shots I took. It was a great class and I learned a lot. We're at it again

Amy and I have been baking again-but not together. Amy made cupcakes for the fastpitch retreat we were suppose to have tomorrow and i got the job of decorating them. I can say that Amy did a wonderful job baking-they were delicious. I wish I could say the same for the decorating of them, but for my first time not so bad.

Violets

This is a quick card I put together for someone's birthday-I can't even remember who. I have been making so many birthday cards. I love the new PTI Year of Flowers stamps sets, and this is February's Violet. It was an easy card to make, I just wish they had the dies that would cut out the violets-it would sure make life a lot easier. Hopefully someday.

My Sister

My sister, Amy, and I made cinnamon rolls from SCRATCH a couple of weeks ago! It was a lot of fun . . . here are some pictures from that fun time!

PTI Color Challenge

Here is another challenge from PTI. It is a color challenge, the DT picked their favorite color combinations and we could make cards using those colors. I picked Kim's choice: Kraft, Dark Chocolate, Spring Moss, and Ocean Tides-I still can't figure out how to get the cute image over here.

I made this a sympathy card because CW needed one for someone he works with. I am very happy with the way this turned out and decided that the good camera needed to be used for taking pictures of my cards.

PTI Paint By Number Challenge

This is my first challenge I have participate in and it's a Papertrey Ink Challenge! I had to use the following colors on my card: white, ripe avocado, respberry fizz, orange zest, and terracotta tile. I also had to use the template they gave us.





I used Life as my stamp set, and was happy with the card until I took a picture of it and now I am not sure about it-I definitely need to figure out how to get better pictures! I think the Raspberry Fizz on the white is a little much . . . lesson learned.

My First Uploaded Card

Here is the first card I have ever uploaded onto my blog!

This is a card I made for my friend who loves cupcakes! She makes the best cupcakes, so I figured a birthday card with a cupcake on it would be perfect for her! The frosting is teal glitter but it is hard to tell from this picture.

I have figured out how to take better pictures! Next post, hopefully the photo will be better. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Intention

This is my first year in which I will choose one word that I will focus on. The word I have choosen is intention. After the year I had last year, I want to do everything with intention. When thinking of a word, I wanted to find one that I would help me to become the person I want to be but also help me with the areas in my life that are going well. I plan to work toward doing all things in my life with intention. Will this be easy? No. There will be challenges along the way and I am sure I will not achieve all things being done with intention but I will try to begin to see things with that in mind.

I looked up the word intention and the following is a list of words that are synonyms for it. I also looked up intentional, so that I would have words that are describing too. Here goes the list: aim end plan prearranged deliberate purpose goal mission objective idea design hope resolve meaning view scope desire dream expectation ambition intent destination direction scheme prospective proposal target aspiration tenacity constancy persistence determination faith propose considered plan

With all that, here is to a year filled with intention!
